Flist, I turn to you.
For my Serial Killer Class, I must read or watch a piece of modern serial killer literature we don't read in class (this would be most - we're covering M, Psycho, Zombie, American Psycho, Last House on the Left, a Poppy Z Brite novel, etc). I'm more into the werewolves, vampires, and ghosts end of horror. So, friends, what would you suggest I read/watch?
(Apparently cannibalism counts and I suspect comics would be fine.)
Psycho will never not scare me.

no werewolves, etc, but there's two movies that are both serial killer movies and meta commentary on media presentations of serial killers:
Natural Born Killers (Oliver Stone)
Man Bites Dog (Remy Belvaux) - belgian film. (I haven't seen this since it was in the theaters, but I recommend it).
