Two questions:

Suggestions for attractive, comfortable, waterproof boots? My high boots (I got them my freshman year of college) just failed for the second time this winter, leaking water while I was tromping around shoveling. (They've been waterproofed twice since November, so that's not it either.) They're ugly as all hell, but they worked for five years.

Suggestions for cheap fabric buying? Is there a fabric equivalent to KnitPicks and Elann?

Cheap Fabric Buying: I don't know if yall have Joann's Fabrics up there but they have good sales sometimes. Also, oddly enough depending on what you're looking for Walmart has cheap as hell fabric but only certain one's have a fabric section worth a crap. Those are pretty much the only options that I have around here.

Occasionally I get lucky and Goodwill or thrift stores will have fabric but that's hit and miss.
