So, I'm researching some Texas urban legends/folklore for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
erickripke with the dubious help of my father (which mostly consists of stories from when he lived there and I mostly now think that Texans are nuts). And what do I find, but FoxNews discussing the chupacabra like it's real. I love folklore and urban legends to a level that I probably ought to consider deeply unhealthy, but I never for one minute think that the roadkill on the side of the highway is going to turn out to be a vampire/Champy/goatman/Mongolian Death Worm.
...There should be a Mongolian Death Worm in my thirteenth century steampunk.
