So, at the moment, when I charge my iPod for 16+ hours, it has a battery life < 1.5 hours. I'll be taking Llinos to the Apple Store sometime this week (cannot. function. without. music.) but Llinos is old. Llinos is a 2nd generation Nano, the likes of which they do not make anymore. Unless I'm doing something absurdly stupid (and I've had this thing for years now, so... somewhat unlikely), I'm not sure they'll be able/willing to do anything (that wouldn't be more expensive than buying a new machine).

Suggestions?
Advice?

My aim is to have a viable music source for my train trip north on Sunday May 18. I'm tempted to attempt to con my parents into buying me a new iPod Nano, but I think I've heard some less than pleasant things. I'm thinking of going with getting another Apple product - not because I'm part of some vast Apple-buying hipster conspiracy - because if I bought it over in Ardmore, I'd have it for the train trip. Suggestions? Help? Remember, I generally fail at technology.

(How am I supposed to function without my music? I ask you!)

If there are Battery Plus stores anywhere near you, they sell nano batteries and install them. Alternatively, E-mail me off list, and I'll snag one for you and send up post haste -- I'm free until May 5.
