So... in all of my ravings about bisexuality and genre media, why didn't anyone tell me about Doyle-the-bisexual-Irish-half-demon in Angel? (At the very least, bisexual tendencies - which, for a Whedon piece is absolutely stunning.)

I never thought of Doyle as bisexual? I guess he does once make a remark like "maybe I'm a little attracted" but I thought it was like...a straight mancrush type joke.

idk, it's been a long time since I watched Angel.

That's why I said bisexual tendencies. He and Cordelia have on going discussions of Angel and he keeps saying that Angel has the tall dark sexy brooding going on and Cordelia basically asks how much alone time she should be giving them. And each time, Doyle denies being attracted and makes a flirtatious comment toward Cordelia. And then Angel does his super powered brooding and Doyle says he's attracted... and then continues discussing Angel's attractiveness to people. *shrug* I don't think it's radical interpretation to say, "Bisexual/Bisexual tendencies" on that.

No, it doesn't sound radical. (I almost wrote "racial" wut?)

Have you seen Angel before? Are you watching the series, or did you just see one random episode?

I'm watching the series on Netflix streaming. I didn't watch it when it was on TV so it's new to me.

Okay. Well, I really like Angel, although, like I said, I haven't seen it in awhile. I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm not surprised you hadn't been aware of Doyle.
