DEAN IS JESUS? SERIOUSLY?

So, -and I need to rewatch this and listen to Uriel better- but Uriel called the humans, Sam and Dean especially, something that sounded a lot like "buttmonkey" and Castiel chastises him for erring close to blasphemy. And then Castiel reveals to Dean that he and Uriel are supposed to do whatever Dean tell them to? (Please Castiel/Dean shippers do not twist that.) So.. Dean is the second coming of Jesus? What?

Also, was it just me or did Dean say that Sam's powers were okay as long as he was saving kids? (Very gospels of Luke and John thing to say by the way) Because that's what I heard and wow.

Powers!Sam is great.

Also, why did Castiel stroke Sam's hand like that when he met him? Because, to my possibly eggnog addled eyes, that came across as at least vaguely sexual? Sam/Castiel? Antichrist/Angel overtones?

Castiel, I love you so hard right now. I'm always kind of iffy on characters who are completely black and white. And I *love* angels who are in the gray area - Lucifer of Lucifer, Dumas and Remiel of Sandman, Crowley and Aziraphale of Good Omens, to name a few. They make me a little joyous inside. And Castiel in this episode was some amazing combination of Aziraphale and Lucifer and if that continues I will be a puddle of goo.

I did not roll my eyes! Think back, look carefully at the memory, and you will clearly see that I SNEERED!!!

Aaaaaaannd... I think you guys are totally reading too much into what Castiel said. They were only supposed to follow Dean's orders for that one mission. To see if he would sacrifice the town or try to save it.

And Uriel is a dick.
