This is phenomenal! Sam has Dean, but he's never unarmed, never caught unready for the fight of his life, never able just to *relax* around his brother...

...after he asked those people for permission to do something and they freaked because *they're* good upright folk unlike him and his obviously goat-sacrificing ways.

Not to mention he didn't have what he needed before, but he has Dean now so he does have what he needed -- and Dean went from having an invitation into their home and their work to get him away from the chupacabra on two legs to being threatened with death if he so much as toed on their land with His Brother. After all, if he's Sam's brother, that makes him...

HIM.

Whom Dean still hasn't a clue of being.

Oh, this was one of THE stories I've read all year. The most overwhelmingly sad thing about it is the fact that Sam is so terrified under it all.

After all, he still literally doesn't know WHAT the *HELL* he has. Makes his own "Am I or am I not?" running dilemma fade waaaaaay into the background.

Thank you for this treat! *Roses and chocolates to the author*

Red
Devoted Deanwoman off to see the prequel/sequel, as you put it, and see how much of it I got right, but even if I'm completely wrong, I loved it!
