Water Bottles

I am searching for something that I cannot find. I ask you, my flist, to help me in my search.

Since my Nalgene has mysteriously vanished after five years of use, I am looking to replace it. For my own reasons, I was hoping to switch to a stainless steel water bottle. I like to use my water bottle in my car (something a Nalgene can't do), which means I'm looking for one with a sport or straw top (not a screw cap). I also don't want to pay to carry someone's company logo around.

I've been looking on Amazon, but the ones that fit this bill are all a) absurdly pricey ($20 for a water bottle), b) absurdly girly (pink hearts and flowers), or c) not shipped from Amazon. If I have to, I'm willing to sacrifice the last one, but I had been hoping to just get something else I wanted off Amazon and save on shipping.

Can anyone help me?

(Also, if the price and shipping are low, I'll look off Amazon, but even with a lower price, non-Amazon shipping jacks the price back up to $20 and that's crazy talk.)

*I have already looked at all of the places I can think of locally. They've all either got stuff where the tops don't fit or the price is crazy talk (like $40).

Did you check at a local REI (or outdoor store kind of like it)? My mother has something like what you're describing (hard plastic, straw top) and my old roommate bought a metal (I think steel) version of it from our local Mountain Chalet (tiny version of REI, essentially). Neither of them are the type to spend $40 on a water bottle.

I'm going to the mall tomorrow for my glasses and I can check the Olympia Sport there. (I don't think we have REIs out here.)

If not, I suppose I could check Dick's Sporting Goods, but things there tend to be pretty pricey (I buy my wheelchair gloves there and ouch).

These (http://www.rei.com/category/1/q/Water+Bottles) are the kind of water bottles I'm talking about. The first one is the one my mother owns, the $14 CamelBak. My roommate has the $20 Nathan Steel (http://www.rei.com/product/777643). It looks like you can order them online, although they're only free shipping if you can ship it to an REI store, looks like. Might be worth it, since they're high quality?

... I know far too much about water bottles. (This is mine, btw. I'm in love with it, but it has a screw cap.) (http://www.rei.com/product/738271)

Do the Nathan Steel ones leak (someone on Amazon said they did)?

If they don't, I can nab one on Amazon and just toss in something I also use, like orange water or ginger candy, and get free shipping.

Just texted her to ask. She says it'll leak when it's upside down, and she recommends a SIGG, but those are also screw caps.
