I liked this a lot! I call it "spiritual kink" when their souls writhe about with each other like that and you wrote it very well! (by coincidence, my story Dancers at the Lake also features this same idea!)

I especially liked your take on Sammy's developing powers and his spiritual snakelike avatar. Nice!
